Halfway to Heaven — Three Levels of Pure Smoky Mountain Bliss
Perched in the mountains between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Halfway to Heaven lives up to every bit of its name. With sweeping Smoky Mountain views, three private levels each with their own bedroom and bath, and more amenities than you can shake a hiking stick at, this cabin is the kind of place that turns a good vacation into an unforgettable one.
A Layout Built for Privacy & Connection
Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or another couple, Halfway to Heaven's three-level design gives everyone their own space while keeping the group together where it counts. No one's fighting over the bathroom. No one's crowding the living room. Everyone gets their own retreat — and everyone comes together around the pool table, the hot tub, and the mountain views.
Lower Level — Where the Fun Begins
Enter the cabin on the lower level and you're immediately greeted by a spacious game room with a full-size pool table, flat screen TV, and a comfortable sitting area — perfect for rainy mountain afternoons or late-night competitions. A queen bedroom with its own full bath is tucked away on this level, along with the patio where the hot tub waits to soak away the miles after a day on the trails. Up for a little friendly competition outside? Fire up a game of horseshoes in the yard.
Main Floor — Views That Stop You in Your Tracks
Head upstairs to the heart of the cabin. Large windows frame gorgeous Smoky Mountain scenery from the living area, and an electric fireplace keeps things cozy when the mountain air turns cool. The fully equipped kitchen makes home-cooked mountain meals easy, and the dining area is the perfect gathering spot before heading out to explore. Step out onto the wraparound covered deck and let those rocking chairs do their thing — mornings here with a cup of coffee are something else entirely. The second queen bedroom with its own full bath sits just off the main living area.
Upper Level — The King's Suite
Save the best for last. The top-floor king master suite is a destination all its own — a luxurious retreat featuring a large jacuzzi tub, sitting area perfect for curling up with a book, and not one but two private porches. Wake up here and you'll understand exactly why this cabin is called Halfway to Heaven.
Minutes from Everything
Dollywood is just 18 minutes away. The Island in Pigeon Forge is under 20 minutes. Anakeesta and downtown Gatlinburg are a quick 19-minute drive. You're close enough to everything but far enough away to feel like you've truly escaped — and guests consistently rave about spotting bears right from the cabin, which never gets old.
Halfway to Heaven sleeps up to 6 guests and includes free Wi-Fi, Smart TVs in every room, washer/dryer, charcoal grill, and free parking. No pets. No smoking.
4-wheel drive or chains required November through March in the event of inclement weather.

Halfway To Heaven is clean and comfortable. The amenities are excellent. The staff at Heartland Rentals were quick to address any issues that we had. We enjoyed the location close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Had a great Christmas vacation in this beautiful cabin. It was plenty of room for 6. I thank the management for an easy check in and check out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Halfway to Heaven. The cabin comfortably slept 6 adults and one child! We got to see a momma bear and her two cubs right on our porch!

2021 was our 4th year staying in "Halfway to Heaven". We have always been most impressed with this rental cabin. We spend hours in the early AM and Evening sitting on the porch enjoying the views of Pigeon Forge. Most every year we see plenty of wild life, turkeys, bears, raccoons, eagles and falcons. The road up is steep in areas but very drivable. A couple of trips up, and it is a piece of cake. We have stayed in Heartland rentals for past 7 years, their service has been top notch each year. We highly recommend Heartland to all who wish to visit the Smoky's.

4.5 stars The cabin was beautiful and spacious but be prepared for a winding steep drive up to the cabin. We had a nice stay and felt the cabin was adequetly equipped. Some general comments the upstairs bedroom is stuffy and it would be nice to have a screen door to allow outside air in. Fans were available to make it more comfortable. This bedroom could also use a dresser to store clothes. The bottom floor was especially cold and many small caterpillars were crawling around the floors. We loved the pool table, the porch had many nice rocking chairs. Overall we enjoyedour stay.

Great stay. The cabin was clean and the description was on point. On the other hand, the centipedes were out in full force. You could probably chop it up to the rain though. My mom and my sister didn't not sleep in their room on the first level because the centipede situation was at the door and in their bedroom and bathroom. We bought Home Defense spray to slow down the centipedes. It was a good stay besides that.

Wonderful stay with family
We had a great time. The cabin was perfect for 6, space to be together and have alone time. From our porch we saw a bear on 2 different days. Played pool and checkers multiple times. The beds were comfy. It is high up the mountain. I would recommend this cabin.

Vacation Saver
We had reservations at another company that turned out to be a nightmare. At 9:00 pm the day of Arrival, Heartland was the only company after calling more than 10 willing to help us. They put us in one cabin for the night and moved us to This Cabin for the remainder of our Vacation. The Cabin was much more than we needed but on a Holiday Weekend, a Godsend!!! It is so Beautiful and truly named as it is so high and in the sky. We saw Turkeys and a Bear! The cabin was a 10 out of 10. The service of Heartland was a 10 out of 10. We could not have been Happier.
