Bear Bottom View | A Smoky Mountain Escape Like No Other
Some cabins give you a place to sleep. Bear Bottom View gives you a place to remember. Thoughtfully decorated with one-of-a-kind handcrafted details throughout, this two-level mountain retreat is the kind of place that feels instantly special — warm, intentional, and entirely your own for the duration of your stay.
Step out onto the back deck and let the Smoky Mountains do what they do best. Sweeping views stretch out before you, the kind that make you set your phone down and simply breathe it all in.
Inside, every detail has been considered. The main level offers a fully equipped kitchen ready for a home-cooked mountain dinner, a cozy living room with a gas fireplace and Smart TV, and a king bedroom with its own full bath and walk-in shower. Head upstairs to the second king suite — a true retreat within a retreat — featuring another Smart TV and a private full bath with walk-in shower. Two levels, two king beds, two bathrooms. Everyone has their own space to unwind.
Perfectly positioned between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Bear Bottom View puts you right in the heart of it all. World-class hiking, dining, shopping, and attractions are just minutes away — but with views like these, you might not want to leave.

Bear Bottom View is a great choice for families looking to explore the area. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed provided except an ironing board. The accommodations were excellent, with beds that were comfortable and the cabin checked in by the staff to make sure everything was okay at the location.

Five stars for the Heartland rental team when I asked for a cabin that was closer to the front and didn’t require driving up a lot of steep hills. They accommodated my request and the cabin that I booked was easily accessible without driving up and down steep hills. The cabin we selected was just right for us. The bedrooms were very roomy as were the bathrooms. We really love the deck in the rear of the cabin and spent a lot of time out there, even though it was quite chilly, I wish there was a porch swing though. We would’ve also liked to have used the gas fireplace. However, the binder instructions stated that fireplaces were not supposed to be used from April 1 to October 1 obviously not for foreseeing the dropping temperatures and the unseasonably, cool weather that we had , I really liked our cabin. I love the way it was decorated and the modern appliances in the kitchen. It was a great stay and I can’t wait until next time.

Just an amazing stay. Cabin was fantastic and we will definitely return. Everyone I spoke to from the cabin to booking attractions was so friendly. Couldn’t have been any better. Thanks so much!

We absolutely loved our stay at “Bear Bottom View.” We have been coming down to Pigeon Forge area for 18 years and this was one of our favorite cabins! Super clean! Beautiful view, yet close to the strip. We really appreciated all the details with decorating! We will definitely stay here again!

The cabin was absolutely amazing. Great location and really easy to get to. The cabin was nice decorated as well. The only thing I think would be better is to have a different mattress on the bedroom downstairs. Way too soft and sinks in

Bear Bottom View was a fantastic cabin!. This is a perfect cabin for family of 3-4. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. I was impressed by the size of the bathrooms, I would stay here again just for the bathroom space alone! The entire cabin gave us plenty of space to cook, eat, lounge, and just have a fantastic vacation. The location is central to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I may not recommend this in the winter, as the signs note you may need tire chains. As with most cabins, the drive was steep with a few sharp turns. The partnership with Xplorie was very unexcepted (I need to pay more attention to my e-mails). I was nearly in tears when I found out we could get 1 attraction ticket per day, as everything we had plans for already, was on the list of available tickets. We saved some money just because of that partnership.
100 stars. We will be staying with Heartland again!
