Sticks and Stones — The Little Cabin That Keeps Calling You Back
Some cabins are nice. Sticks and Stones is something more — it's the kind of place guests return to for their 4th stay, their 6th stay, their 30th anniversary, their 45th anniversary. One guest even said Heartland's staff saved their entire trip when another rental fell through, and Sticks and Stones made their 30th anniversary unforgettable. With 140 five-star reviews and a near-perfect 4.9 rating, this cabin has earned every one of them.
A Location That Gets It Just Right
Nestled just off the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, tucked in the peaceful wooded hills between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Sticks and Stones has mastered the art of being close to everything while feeling completely removed from it. Dollywood is 12 minutes away. Anakeesta is 13 minutes. The Island in Pigeon Forge is a quick drive down the mountain. But up here, surrounded by trees and mountain views, you'd never know any of it existed. That's the magic.
Inside: Cozy, Romantic & Made for Two
Step through the door and the cabin's warm personality immediately wraps around you. The living room is anchored by a gas fireplace that sets the perfect mood for slow mountain evenings — curl up together on the sofa, flip on a favorite movie, and let the outside world wait. The fully equipped kitchen makes breakfast and dinner easy without ever having to leave, and the half bath on the main level adds everyday convenience.
Head upstairs to the king bedroom and you'll find the cabin's most charming architectural detail — a barn loft window that opens to overlook both the living room below and the mountains beyond. It's a feature that guests notice immediately and absolutely love. A flat screen TV and full bath complete the upstairs retreat.
The Screened Hot Tub: Your Private Evening Ritual
Step outside onto the covered, screened-in deck and settle into the four-person hot tub while the mountain air swirls around you and the trees sway in the breeze. This is the moment Sticks and Stones guests talk about most — the hot tub feels genuinely private and secluded, with rocking chairs nearby for when you want to simply sit, sip something warm, and breathe it all in. After a day of hiking the national park, exploring Gatlinburg, or riding the rides at Dollywood, nothing on earth feels better.
The mountain views from the deck are gorgeous in every season — brilliant green in summer, jaw-dropping color in fall, peaceful white in winter, and full of new life in spring.
Built for Couples, Perfect for Small Families
The sleeper sofa in the living room gives Sticks and Stones flexible sleeping for up to 4 guests total, making it ideal for two couples, a couple with children, or anyone who needs a little extra space without sacrificing that intimate, cozy cabin feeling. Free Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, charcoal grill, and satellite TV with local channels round out everything you need for a seamless stay.
Sticks and Stones sleeps up to 4 guests. No pets. No smoking.

AMAZING
The cabin was awesome and just what we needed. But, I would love to give a shout out to Tina. Tina in the Gatlinburg office helped me so much. I was in the process of changing jobs and she helped me with downloading a form and fax it. If not for her I would have been a real bind. Thank you Tina!!!!!!!

Sticks and Stones- A great getaway!
Very nice cabin set in the mountains! Hot tub was great! Cabin was clean and had all the amenities we were looking for. Between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and close to the Smoke Mountains National Park. A little tough to get to the Gatlinburg office, and no real directions online or address to follow.

Great.
First time with Heartland at Sticks and Stones. The cabin was nice. Doesn't look private with other houses around but front porch and hot tub were. It snowed and sleet one night but did not stick. Would need chains if snow sticks. Could use larger TV in livingroom. Overall cabin clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Can’t wait to come back next year!
This was the first cabin that my girlfriend and I have ever rented in the area. We did a lot of searching before we decided to go with Heartland. Your cabins seemed to be more homey and had nice little touches throughout.
Overall, we were very impressed with the quality and it made for a wonderful romantic getaway!
We will definitely be back!

Heartland Rentals did a great job making our vacation perfect.
The staff at Heartland Rentals went beyond our expectations when arranging this vacation. The Sticks and Stones cabin was exactly as it was advertised. The staff contacted us several times just to see if we needed anything. After reading the negative reviews from another rental business, I'm thrilled we went with Heartland.

We had a great vacation at the Sticks and Stones cabin
The staff at Heartland Rentals did an amazing job. The Sticks and Stones cabin was beautiful and exceeded the posted pictures.
I actually cancelled a previous booking with another rental company. Their ratings were so bad I find it hard to believe they've stayed in business. The folks at Heartland went overboard to ensure our stay was perfect.
Thank you again Heartland Rentals,we will definitely rent from you next year.
