Monte Casa — Your Private Mountain Retreat Just Minutes from Gatlinburg
Some cabins give you a roof over your head. Monte Casa gives you something far better — sweeping Smoky Mountain views that stretch as far as your eyes can see, a bubbling hot tub waiting just outside your door, and the kind of cozy, intimate atmosphere that makes you forget the rest of the world exists. This is couples-only mountain magic, and it's available for just the two of you.
Views That Will Stop You Mid-Sentence
Let's start with what guests rave about most — the views. Perched on Cobbly Knob along Highway 321, Monte Casa commands breathtaking panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains from the deck, the living room, the dining area, and practically every window in the cabin. Spring brings a riot of color across the ridgelines. Fall turns the mountains into a painting. Winter wraps everything in quiet white. Summer mornings here with coffee on the deck are simply unforgettable. Whatever season you choose, the view is the star of the show.
Warm, Cozy & Built for Two
Step inside and the cabin wraps around you like a warm embrace. The living room features a comfortable couch and loveseat, a gas fireplace that sets the perfect romantic mood, and a 42-inch flat screen TV for lazy movie nights in the mountains. Large windows frame those incredible mountain views right from the sofa — so even when you're not going anywhere, you're still soaking in the Smokies.
The fully equipped kitchen and dining area make in-cabin meals easy and enjoyable — cook a candlelit dinner for two or linger over a slow mountain breakfast before heading out to explore. Everything you need is already here, right down to the pots, pans, blender, and wine glasses.
The King Suite & Your Private Hideaway
The king bedroom is your sanctuary — a comfortable, beautifully appointed space with its own flat screen TV for those nights when you just want to curl up and stay in. Just off the bedroom is a private sitting area with a futon and foosball table — your own little bonus space for a friendly competition or a quiet afternoon with a book while the mountains look on.
The master bath is well-appointed and there's a convenient half bath on the main level too, giving you all the comfort and practicality you need for a seamless stay.
The Hot Tub — Your Nightly Ritual
Step out onto the deck and settle into the hot tub as the mountain air surrounds you and the stars emerge overhead. After a day of hiking the national park, exploring downtown Gatlinburg, or browsing the Cobbly Knob area shops, there is genuinely nothing better. Guests consistently say they spent more time in the hot tub than they planned — and we think that's exactly right.
Keep your eyes open on the way in and out too — guests have reported black bears walking right up to the front of the cabin. It's wild in the best possible way.

Beautiful, secluded, relaxing!
Monte Casa was a beautiful cabin! The view was spectacular and it was very private. Our only complaint was that the bed was not what we are use to sleeping on. We tossed and turned all night which was a bummer since we hoped to relax and sleep in on our vacation. However, if they replaced that, it would definitely get the full 5 stars!

Perfect Honeymoon spot!
We were originally supposed to go to Hawaii for our Honeymoon but had to last minute change due to Covid. What a blessing this trip was! This cabin was PERFECT for us. Upon arrival we opened the door to the cutest place ever with an INCREDIBLE view. The cabin was very clean. We were impressed with how clean it was! We would definitely stay in the same cabin again. It was only a 25 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg. The check in and check our process was the easiest thing ever! We stayed a week and cannot wait to make this a yearly thing!

Breathtaking view, fabulous time!!
We wanted to get away for a few days, to spend some time relaxing and unwinding together. Our road trip to Gatlinburg was great, and our remote check in was quick and easy. The directions given to us were fantastic. No trouble getting to our cabin. Then, we came to our cabin, and just sat there soaking in the area. Climbed the stairs, and stood on our balcony overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains. Our cabin was EVERYTHING we were looking for and more. Clean, spacious, and quiet!! This is our second stay with Heartland, and we would like to make it a tradition from now on!! Thank you so much for all your help!!!!

Refreshing!
I’ve been to Gatlinburg, the last two years. I’ve enjoyed it every time. Each time we stayed with Heartland. We came an additional time last year with friends. Due to last minute planning, we couldn’t find a cabin with Heartland. So, we went with another cabin rental company. We will never do that again! Heartland keep their campus so clean. This trip, I came by myself for a personal respite. Monte Casa was refreshing! The view was majestic. I was blessed enough to be there on a day that it snowed! The trees, mountains and hillsides were gorgeous. A calming for the soul. I’m already looking forward to coming back again, THIS YEAR! My wife and I have such a great time, here. We love to getaway in Gatlinburg. Heartland cabins makes it even more perfect.

Lovely Cabin
Beautiful view larger then I expected, clean. Bed was comfortable. The only thing I would suggest would be to decorate a little for Christmas. Friendly staff. Love the attraction pass. Dollywood was the best!!

Cozy cabin with great view of Smoky Mountain National Park
The location from Smoky Mountain/ Gatlinburg, was further away than I thought. I think the distances from Gatlinburg were listed for each cabin on the Website but I might have missed it.
The porch light was motion-sensor and went on every time we wanted to look at the stars on the porch. We didn’t like the light at all. Since there was already an porch light with an on/off switch, we could have used the porch with light, or without, depends our needs.

Peaceful and relaxing
The staff of Heartland is fantastic to work with. This was our 4th stay with them and they are very accommodating. Cabin as always was clean and supplied well. We came up in June and had a death in the family both Heartland and the cabin owners worked with us so we could complete our 40th wedding anniversary trip. Can't say enough about the people and staff with Heartland. We will definitely use them again.
