Monte Casa — Your Private Mountain Retreat Just Minutes from Gatlinburg
Some cabins give you a roof over your head. Monte Casa gives you something far better — sweeping Smoky Mountain views that stretch as far as your eyes can see, a bubbling hot tub waiting just outside your door, and the kind of cozy, intimate atmosphere that makes you forget the rest of the world exists. This is couples-only mountain magic, and it's available for just the two of you.
Views That Will Stop You Mid-Sentence
Let's start with what guests rave about most — the views. Perched on Cobbly Knob along Highway 321, Monte Casa commands breathtaking panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains from the deck, the living room, the dining area, and practically every window in the cabin. Spring brings a riot of color across the ridgelines. Fall turns the mountains into a painting. Winter wraps everything in quiet white. Summer mornings here with coffee on the deck are simply unforgettable. Whatever season you choose, the view is the star of the show.
Warm, Cozy & Built for Two
Step inside and the cabin wraps around you like a warm embrace. The living room features a comfortable couch and loveseat, a gas fireplace that sets the perfect romantic mood, and a 42-inch flat screen TV for lazy movie nights in the mountains. Large windows frame those incredible mountain views right from the sofa — so even when you're not going anywhere, you're still soaking in the Smokies.
The fully equipped kitchen and dining area make in-cabin meals easy and enjoyable — cook a candlelit dinner for two or linger over a slow mountain breakfast before heading out to explore. Everything you need is already here, right down to the pots, pans, blender, and wine glasses.
The King Suite & Your Private Hideaway
The king bedroom is your sanctuary — a comfortable, beautifully appointed space with its own flat screen TV for those nights when you just want to curl up and stay in. Just off the bedroom is a private sitting area with a futon and foosball table — your own little bonus space for a friendly competition or a quiet afternoon with a book while the mountains look on.
The master bath is well-appointed and there's a convenient half bath on the main level too, giving you all the comfort and practicality you need for a seamless stay.
The Hot Tub — Your Nightly Ritual
Step out onto the deck and settle into the hot tub as the mountain air surrounds you and the stars emerge overhead. After a day of hiking the national park, exploring downtown Gatlinburg, or browsing the Cobbly Knob area shops, there is genuinely nothing better. Guests consistently say they spent more time in the hot tub than they planned — and we think that's exactly right.
Keep your eyes open on the way in and out too — guests have reported black bears walking right up to the front of the cabin. It's wild in the best possible way.

We really enjoyed staying in the gorgeous cabin “Monte Casa”. We didn’t ever have any issues with our stay or the cabin itself. However, the only hiccup I would say there was that I never received a text back with a question I had during our stay. Besides that we really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was at it said in website. The only problem was the view of the mountain was better than pictures. It didn’t matter from bedroom, living room or hot tub, the view was amazing!! Thanks.

This was the absolute best experience. Monte Casa was very clean, spacious, with all kitchen supplies provided which is very convenient if you plan to cook meals like I did. Staff was very welcoming, professional, and educational. I enjoyed that with our stay at Heartland Rental’s, we were able to get discounted pricing on certain activities such as museums, coasters, and more. I wouldn’t change anything about my stay, as a matter of fact I’d come back to this exact spot. Had one small issue with the hot tub heating up. I contacted office and they immediately helped us fix the issue. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time staying in Monte Casa! My partner and I stayed for a week at the beginning of October and we couldn't have been happier with the cabin and the amazing views. Check-in was easy, the cabin company is open until 11 PM, and they have an after-hours line if you need anything. This cabin has a charcoal grill, and a hot tub, and it's even grander in person!
Tip- If you are coming from a state where there aren't many hills or mountains, and you aren't familiar with driving through them, prepare yourself. We came from Florida. We have never driven through mountains like in Tennessee. The drive to the cabin was not bad, and we got used to it after the first day, but the first drive to the cabin had us a bit scared, not knowing what to expect. Just be prepared for a sharp turn and steady incline when driving up. This is probably nothing for a native, but for us flat landers felt a bit different. I just wanted to add that in for anyone else in a similar situation.
Overall, we rate this stay a 10/10 and would stay again in a heartbeat!

I can’t say enough good things about this company and property. When we arrived we were amazed by the views, the cleanliness, the attention to detail that the company takes to make sure everything is perfect. We weren’t in the cabin more than 15 minutes when we got a call welcoming us and asking us if we needed anything to just reach out and they would take care of us…nothing was needed the entire we were there. A couple of things that the website said might not be there, but were was an iron board, an iron, and 400 coffee filters…again, making it even more convenient. We used the Xplorie service that was included in our rental 4 times and did so without a hitch. Everything was perfect and if the place was for sale (we looked) we would have made an offer that day. Thank you for a wonderful honeymoon experience.

The cabin was wonderful exactly what me and my husband wanted for our honeymoon. A cabin in the mountains with a view. We didn't have any issues the whole time we were there. Its nice that it's close to the major part of Gatlinburg about 25-30 minutes and about 45 minutes from Piegon Forge. We would definitely stay again.
