2015 Women of Joy Conference returns to Pigeon Forge

The Smoky Mountains has always been a popular place for religious conferences, with its great beauty and inspirational atmosphere.

Women of Joy, a Christian conference for women, will return to Pigeon Forge March 20-22, 2015 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center with its 2015 “Stronger” Tour.

According to the organization’s Web site, the purpose of the conference is “to see lives change when they are connected to the strength of a relationship with Christ. It encourages women of all ages and walks of life to come join for a weekend at the feet of Jesus.”

Featured at the conference will be speakers Angela Thomas, Liz Curtis Higgs and Mark Lowry and musician Babbie Mason.

A mother of four, Thomas is a Bible teacher, national speaker and best-selling author of books and Bible studies that include “Stronger: Finding Hope in Fragile Places.”

Higgs is the author of more than 30 books, with 4.5 million copies in print. Her latest release is “The Women of Christmas,” and she is also well known for her “Bad Girls of the Bible” series. Higgs spent a decade as an award-winning columnist for Today’s Christian Woman magazine.

Lowry is a singer, storyteller, humorist, author and songwriter, whose lyric to “Mary, Did You Know?” resulted in one of the most loved modern Christmas songs of this century. He has spent more than 20 collective years as the baritone singer for the Grammy-award winning Gaither Vocal Band and serves as the comedic sidekick for Bill Gaither through live concert tours and the best selling Gaither Homecoming video series and TV airings.

Mason is a gospel singer, songwriter, writer and adjunct professor of songwriting at Atlanta Christian College and Lee University, as well as a TV host. Her latest book is “Embraced by God, Celebrating Who and Whose You Are.” She also released a CD companion to the book titled “Embrace.”

Registration before January 14 is $99 per person with 10-plus guests or $109 per person. After January 14, 2015 registration is $109 per person with 10-plus guests or $119 per person.

Women of Joy will also return to Pigeon Forge April 24-26 at the LeConte Center, with speakers Thomas, Lysa Terkeurst, Margaret Feinberg, Anita Renfroe and Katherine Wolf and musicians Charles Billingsley and Mandisa.
