There's about to be not one but TWO pirate-themed shows coming to the Smoky Mountain stages in 2019. This may or may not be old news to you, so we figured we would go ahead and spread the word to those of you who are starting to plan your 2019 trip to the Smoky Mountains. If you're planning to book one of our cabins in Pigeon Forge, or any of our Wears Valley cabins next year, you'll be sure to see some familiar faces in pirate garb on the billboards on your way into town. The shows will be a quick 5-10 minute drive from our cabins in Gatlinburg as well as our Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley cabins

Shiver Me Timbers!

First up is going to be no other than Dolly Parton herself! Dolly has decided it was high time to bring the Pirate's Voyage Dinner & Show to the Smokies. Dolly Parton's Pirate's Voyage Dinner & Show has been a showstopper in the Myrtle Beach area for the past 10 years now. The arena will be located directly beside The Island in Pigeon Forge. You can expect to see Pirates of opposing sides fighting from the sky to ship in a deep lagoon. There will be a five-course pirate-themed meal to accompany the show. Construction takes off in January and is prospectively set to open in spring 2019!

On the other side of the deep blue stage of Pigeon Forge will be the Pirates Revenge Dinner & Show brought to you by Fee/Hedrick Entertainment Group. You may be familiar with them and not even know it- This entertainment facilitator is the same company that put the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show and the Comedy Barn on the map in Pigeon Forge. The Pirates REvenge Dinner & Show will be debuted where the current Smoky Mountain Opry is now. The Opry will fulfill their Christmas as scheduled. Once winter show season comes to a close, they will begin additions to the original Louise Mandrell Theater. Modifications to the theater will include a kitchen to accommodates dinner for guests, a retractable water stage, and even an exterior drawbridge and moat near the entry with state of the art special effects.

There's plenty to get excited for in 2019 in the Smokies! Get a head start on planning your family getaway to the mountains.
