The Taste of Autumn

The telltale signs of the season are slowly appearing. Turning leaves, that nip of coolness in the air and wisps of smoke can be seen trailing skyward from cabin fireplaces. have been giving us heat-weary folks a little taste of autumn. This week, your palate will get a delicious break as well when you attend the annual Taste Of Autumn at the Gatlinburg Convention Center on Thursday, September 27.

For $25, attendees can enjoy an unlimited sampling of menu items from more than 20 participating restaurants, attractions and organizations from the Gatlinburg area. Vendors include Calhoun’s, The Cheese Steak Factory, Cherokee Grill, The Fox And Parrot Tavern, Gigi’s Cupcakes, Hard Rock Café, Mellow Mushroom, Ober Gatlinburg, The Park Grill Steakhouse, Ripley’s Aquarium Of The Smokies, Smoky Mountain Brewer, Smoky Mountain Winery and more.

One hundred percent of the proceeds of the event will benefit the 2012 United Way Sevier Campaign, a charitable effort that has been supported by Taste Of Autumn for the past 15 years. In addition to the food, live jazz music will be provided for dancing and listening enjoyment from 5 to 8 p.m.

By the way, this is one of the most pleasant and beautiful times of years to visit Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains. If travel plans are in your immediate future, we recommend checking out our selection of Gatlinburg cabin rentals.
