Romantic Valentine's Getaway In The Smokies

At Heartland Cabin Rentals, we believe in love and we want to help you make this Valentine’s day the best ever. Here are some of our ideas to make this getaway a spectacular event!

First things first, you need a romantic cabin with a spectacular view of the mountains. We got you covered on this one. We have a wide variety of romantic cabins in the Great Smoky Mountains. Click here or call us at 888-711-0087 and let one of our “romance specialist’s” reserve you that perfect mountain cabin.

Next, you need to call Gaynell 877-424-3569 at Flowers of Gatlinburg or Mara (865-436-8556) at Cupid’s Petals Florist, and order a bed of roses and a Valentine’s Basket. Imagine the surprise on your loved one’s face when they walk into the master bedroom of your cabin, as they see the gift basket and the bed covered in rose petals.

Now you need to figure out what to actually do. Here is our list of “Romantic” things to do.

Ripley’s Aquarium is great place for couples to spend time together. Walking hand in hand, while looking at hundreds of species of exotic fish, sharks, penguins, and more.

After the aquarium, cross the street and stroll thru The Village of Gatlinburg. The Village has a quaint old world setting filled with many unique shops. Several water fountains decorate the village making it a nice romantic atmosphere.

Let’s pick up the pace now, and not to mention the adrenaline levels. Head to Pigeon Forge and the Alpine Coaster on Wears Valley Road. It’s the longest downhill ride in the USA with over 1 mile of track. It’s possible to reach speeds of up to 27 miles per hour. A fantastic, fun-filled ride.

Now you need to decide where to eat dinner after your romance packed day. If you like steak, treat your partner to the best steak dinner in town. We suggest the Black Angus Ribeye from the Pottery House Cafe at the Old Mill Square. Nice cozy atmosphere with fantastic food and great servers.

If steak is not your thing, we recommend the Old Mill Restaurant for a “More-than-you-can-eat” dinner. You will not walk away from the table hungry. Ask for a window seat, where you can look out over the LIttle Pigeon River while you eat. Try the homemade meatloaf or the English Mountain Rainbow Trout. All meals include corn chowder, homemade fritters, house salad, green beans, your choice of potatoes, and dessert.

Next, head over to WonderWorks for a immersive mind-blowing learning experience. Couples dates are a great Idea, there is nothing like rekindling those original feelings you had when you first began dating. The question is HOW does one actually go back in time? By having FUN and playing as a kid of course, no matter how old you may be you can be young at heart, laugh and enjoy one another's company.

The balloon offers the highest vantage point and the best views of the area, second only to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The lights, the cold wind, snuggling 400 feet above Pigeon Forge. What could be more romantic.

Are you one of those, who are going to make the ultimate sacrifice, and use this weekend to “pop the question”? Well if you are, now is the perfect time to do it. They will always remember when you asked the question. It will be a story that they will tell time and time again. Major romance points on this one

And if you have the paperwork already done, you can even give Pastor Dale a call and get married on the balloon. Pastor Dale offers wedding services at your choice of location. Turn your balloon ride into a balloon wedding. What a way to start a marriage.

Above all things,
We believe in love.
Love is like oxygen.
Love is a many-splendored thing.
Love lifts us up where we belong.
All you need is love!
