It’s a powerhouse duo you won’t want to miss: Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, July 24 at Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge.

The show is part of the women’s “Grits and Glamour” tour, which they formed in 2009.

“Although we’ve practically grown up together, running in the same circles and backstage at the Opry, it truly is a newfound friendship,” Pam Tillis said on their Web site.

Pam Tillis is the daughter of country legend Mel Tillis, while Lorrie Morgan is the daughter of the late Opry star George Morgan.

Combined, the two country stars have recorded 28 top hits and 12 number one songs and sold more than 18 million records. They have also collected Grammys, Country Music Awards, movie credits, TV appearances and Broadway performances.Grits and Glamour Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis in Concert in Pigeon Forge Tennessee

They released their duets album, “Dos Divas,” in 2013.

Pam Tillis’s hits include “Maybe It Was Memphis,” “Mi Vida Loca,” “Shake the Sugar Tree,” and “Let That Pony Run.” Her Web site describes her as a “superstar as well as a survivor,” along with a “former rebel.”

She is a CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and has appeared in several movies and TV shows, including “Nashville.”

Her most recent albums include “RhineStoned,” released in 2007, and “Recollection,” a retrospective album, released in 2012.

Lorrie Morgan’s hits include “Something In Red,” “What Part of No,” “Five Minutes” and “Except For Monday.”

A young Morgan got her start performing with her father, singing “Paper Roses.” She became a member of the Grand Ole Opry herself at age 24 – the youngest person to ever join the Opry.

She has written and recorded more than 15 of her own songs.

Her most recent albums include “A Moment in Time,” released in 2009, and “I Walk Alone,” released in 2010.
