DECEMBER 2014

gatlinburg-ice-skating-ober-gatlinburg.JPGWhether you are a fan of Sonya Henny, Dorothy Hamill, Scott Hamilton or Oksana Baiul, one of the "coolest" things you can do in December is to bring your Olympic dreams of stardom to life and hit the ice rink at Ober Gatlinburg! Not only is the indoor rink the centerpiece of Ober Gatlinburg's enclosed Mall, but it is also the South's largest!   And don't worry about bringing skates; Ober Gatlinburg has over 400 pairs of rental skates available for men, women, and children.  So come on up and skate away an hour or an afternoon and maybe start a new winter family tradition.  Ages 4 and under stake free and 6 or under must be with a paid adult age 18 or older. Rate is $9.00 for a 3 hour continuous session which includes skate rental!

Thrills and chills await your entire family this winter season at Ober Gatlinburg. Rates and Magic-Carpet-Ober-Gatlinburg.jpgavailability vary greatly, so we strongly suggest you take a peek at Ober Gatlinburg's Rates and Dates page to budget your adventure.

images_1.jpgBy the way – getting to Ober Gatlinburg is half the fun!  Don't take the road – take the Gatlinburg Aerial Tram and don't forget your camera!  The views of the scenic Smokies are tremendous in this breathtaking 2.1 mile ride!  Keep your eyes peeled; you just might catch a glimpse of the occasional Black Bear roaming the underbrush of the mountain! Round trip ride: Adults: $12.00, Children ages 5 – 12: $9.50.
