Halloween In Gatlinburg
Oct 18, 2012
Halloween only comes once a year, but if you’re visiting Gatlinburg this month, there are special events and activities going on throughout October that are designed to send chills down your spine. Here’s an overview of the places to go and things to do in town, courtesy of Heartland Cabin Rentals.
• Check out a spook show. The Mysterious Mansion on River Road and Ripley’s Haunted Adventure on the Parkway are two places that are not for the faint of heart. These goose bump-inducing attractions are guaranteed to scare you witless, and through the 31st, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure gives you the added bonus of its special Fright Nights shows.
• You’ll also get into the Halloween spirit when you check out the Shrieks & Mind Freaks show at the Space Needle in Gatlinburg. Running through Halloween night, this live theater presentation stars mentalist and hypnotist Bill Gladwell.
• Two different Gatlinburg businesses offer haunted walking tours of the town, highlighting local history with some definite creep factor thrown in.
• The Trick or Treat Kickoff Carnival in downtown Gatlinburg on 10/31 is a great way for kids and families to celebrate the night. It runs from noon to 5 p.m. at the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies plaza and features costume contests, games, prizes and, of course, plenty of candy.
Heartland Cabin Rentals can make your Halloween a "Ghoullish" good time.
