Gatlinburg Trolley Tour of Lights
Nov 12, 2014
Winterfest has begun in the Great Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg is ablaze with Christmas lights again. For the past 23 years, Gatlinburg has transformed itself into a winter wonderland. This year we are featuring new displays.
This year features the $1.6 million dollar rollout of custom light displays. The displays showcase scenes reminiscent of winter forests, evergreens, native animals, snowmen, dancing fountain, romance, and more. Gatlinburg, in continuing with it's green initiative, has converted all of the lights to low-wattage LEDs. This has resulted in a 95% decrease in energy cost.
You can experience the magic of Gatlinburg in the wintertime by taking the Trolley Ride of lights. Ride in comfort and see the lights on these specially designated trolleys. The light tour route takes you thru downtown and the adjacent Highway 321.
