Great Smoky Mountains Arts and Crafts

When you check in at Heartland Cabin Rentals Gatlinburg Office, you are in the middle of the Arts and Crafts Community. We suggest that you arrive early so you can spend time shopping and looking at all the crafts that the community has to offer. Perhaps inspired by the beauty of the land around them, craftsmen have taken to wood, clay, stone, paint and light to express their inner desires. The result is a craft community that provides perfect home decorating and gift ideas.

The Arts and Crafts community is a eight-mile loop in Gatlinburg known as the Great Smoky Mountains Arts and Crafts Community. The crafts community has over 90 stores. Stores include studios, galleries and shops that offer a little bit of everything. You will be able to find hand-thrown pottery, baskets, art, leather goods, frameable art, quilts, jewelry, dolls, and a lot more. The community claims to be the nation’s largest concentration of independent artists. Each year the members put on three arts and crafts shows at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. The shows are around Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The shows are free and offer visitors a chance to browse dozens of vendors at once.
