Looking for great classic country entertainment? Pigeon Forge has just the show for you next weekend.

Con Hunley and Jimmy Fortune will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Country Tonite Theater.

Con Hunley

A native of East Tennessee, has had over 20 hits on the country charts, such as “Oh Girl,” “What’s New With You,” “You Lay a Whole Lot of Love on Me,” and “Weekend Friend.” Born and raised in Fountain City, Hunley was one of six children in a musical family, all singing gospel at church. When he was nine years old, his parents bought him a used “Stella” guitar for Christmas and taught him some basic chords and simple songs. After big success in country music in the 1970s and 1980s, he got frustrated with the music industry.

“I was a trusting soul who had no one to speak up for me in Nashville,” - Con Hunley

Hunley returned to Knoxville, building a chain of dry cleaning establishments with his brother. He sang locally and at celebrity golf tournaments – for the past 20 years, he has hosted his own, raising more than $1 million for Golden Gloves Charities. In 1996, President Clinton invited him to perform at wife Hillary’s birthday party. Later that same year, he was asked to sing at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Banquet. After his parents died in 1999 and 2004, he resolved to regain control of his life and career. One of his latest projects is recording Tennessee’s new state song, “Tennessee,” written by John Bean.

Jimmy Fortune

Fortune is now enjoying a successful solo career. He currently lives in Nashville, writing for Melrose Entertainment and touring.
