Christmas at the Dixie Stampede

Dixie Stampede is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and thrilling horse riding stunts, spectacular special effects, amazing musical productions and delicious four-course feast (complete with dessert). With its modern day Wild West revue, sections of the audience are pitted against each other in a good-natured way as the South and the North battle to win various horse-riding competitions.

During the Christmas event, rival elves from the south and north poles will serve a yummy holiday feast. Gentle snow will be falling and a live nativity will feature camels and ascending angels.

Your ticket purchase includes pre-show entertainment in the world famous Dixie Belle Saloon – enjoy comedy and the musical talent of bluegrass and country band Mountain Ruckus. Some members of the band have included Gary “Biscuit” Davis, who was Dolly Parton’s band leader and produced her CDs “The Grass Is Blue” and “Live and Well,” along with YouTube sensation Kata Hay.

The opening act begins 50 minutes prior to the main show.

Children under age 3 are admitted free only if they sit in a parent’s lap and eat from their plate. If you wish for your child to receive a seat or meal, a regular children’s admission will apply.

Vegetarian meals are available upon request.

The facilities are fully accessible for individuals with special needs. Please advise staff when making reservations if members of your party have a wheelchair, hearing assistance or other special needs and they will gladly accommodate you.

The Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction involves live animals, dramatic lighting, sound and pyrotechnics. If you or anyone in your party has allergies or medical conditions, please take necessary precautions prior to entering the facility.

Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival, presented by Humana, is a five-time winner of America’s Best Christmas Event.

The festivities include a Winter Wonderland of 4 million lights and more than 20 rides and attractions for the entire family.

Dollywood offers several special holiday productions. “Christmas in the Smokies” features a 12-member cast performing hometown holiday favorites, while “A Christmas Carol” has a 15-member cast, fully orchestrated musical tracks, Victorian scenery and period costuming.

In “O Holy Night,” a little girl looks for an angel and three shepherds follow a star. “My People” is a production that features the story of how Dolly’s family inspired her to follow her dreams. Brother Randy and sister Cassie, along with several other family members, appear in the show.

Enjoy “Christmas With the Kingdom Heirs,” Dollywood’s hit gospel group, as they perform favorite Christmas songs and hymns.

Each night during the “Carol of Trees,” thousands of lights synchronize with holiday music to transform the Rivertown Lake into what has been called a “seasonal symphony for the senses.”

Meet Rudolph and his friends, including Clarice, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster and Yukon Cornelius at Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Junction, a magical area where kids can create a special Christmas photo souvenir.

Through Dec. 23, step inside a giant toy store at Santa’s Workshop, where larger-than-life-sized toys gather to greet you. There are also fun interactive activities, such as gazing through an oversized ViewMaster.

Dollywood’s Christmas Chapel (Robert F. Thomas Chapel) will host worship services at 5:30 p.m. each Sunday throughout the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival.

Scrumptious holiday meals will be served at the park’s restaurants as well.
