American Bear is a newly constructed “D” Log cabin with exposed beams and soaring ceilings. Relax in the nearly 1200 sq. ft. cabin with its warm wood finishes, high glass windows and tasteful decor; it is sure to be a great start to your Smoky Mountain getaway. Relax in front of the gas fireplace on a winter's evening watching your favorite movie on DVD or VHS, or challenge your companions to a game of pool in the game room. The game room is located separate from the main living area. From the wrap around covered deck you can enjoy the Mountain View or unwind in the warm bubbling hot tub. American Bear is in the same area as Bear Claw and both are decorated for Christmas from the end of November thru the end of December. All of our Gatlinburg Cabins and Pigeon Forge Cabins come with fully equipped kitchens, air conditioners, heat. Heartland Rentals supplies a starter package of supplies including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and dish soap. Any needs after the starter supply is used is up to the guest. Heartland Rentals also supplies all the pot, pans, dishes, glassware, silverware, towels and other linen. Any special items the guest should bring with them. We do not charge per person, however our rates are a house rate. The rentals have specifications to the number of people that can sleep in the unit, no more then this number may stay in the unit.
